PINK RIBBON & AGM
As always our first outing of competitive golf of the year was to raise money for Breast Cancer - so the teams were picked and off we went very luckily we were allowed to use our trolleys which was a boost for many. A great raffle table (thanks to Jackie & Jane) lovely cakes (for a donation) courtesy of Sandra and lots of lovely pink outfits brightened up the clubhouse and course. Nearly £250.00 was raised from entry fee, raffle and cakes and will be sent to the Breast Cancer Charity. The AGM followed which was quite well supported and a few matters were discussed. The minutes will be available in due course if anyone who was unable to attend wishes to see them. See below some pictures from the day. Sandra's team being the winners on the day - a lovely way to start the Captaincy Year. Thanks go to everyone for their fantastic support for this event.

OUTGOING & INCOMING CAPTAIN
So the time has come to bid au revoir to Merlyn - who has been an exceptional Captain in 2023, who has very much enjoyed the experience as well - Magnificent year - with a magnificent total raised for the Captains Charity Samaritans, of over £8000.00 along with the Ian the Mens Captain. Thank you Merlyn you have been an absolute star 🌟 ----------------- We now Welcome in Sandra - who along with Graeme have also set themselves a target to raise Money for their chosen Charity - Bedford Daycare Hospice (now part of Keech Hospice) It looks like we will have a busy year - with it being 30 years since the club opened as well - so a lot more social events to come as well as lots of golf. Good Luck Sandra we know you will be fantastic. |
BEDFORDSHIRE COUNTY PLAYER OF THE YEAR Many congratulations go to Luca for being named as County Player of the Year. Gwen attended the recent AGM for the County and was able to capture our lovely Luca being crowned as Player of the Year - We are very proud of Luca and all her achievements and wish her every success in 2024. |
CELEBRATING WITH TINA ON HER 80th BIRTHDAY
We all came together to celebrate with Tina for her birthday - it was so lovely to see so many ladies wishing to be there for her and to listen about her memories of her golfing years and of her captaincy year. Tina was so kind to bring us all cake to enjoy and they were delicious. We presented Tina with a little gift from all the ladies section and we all chatted and laughed the afternoon away. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TINA |
